ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones in Ping Shan, Yuen Long

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 5 February 2010, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily:

        (a)       The section of Tong Yan San Tsuen Road from a point about 30 metres north of its junction with San Hi Tsuen Street to a point about 300 metres north of the same junction, including the general lay-bys;

        (b)       Ping Hong Lane, except the southern kerbside lane from a point about 25 metres east of its junction with Tong Yan San Tsuen Road to a point about 65 metres east of the same junction;

        (c)       The northern kerbside lane of San Hi Tsuen Street from a point about 30 metres west of its junction with Tong Yan San Tsuen Road to a point about 240 metres west of the same junction;

        (d)       The southern kerbside lane of San Hi Tsuen Street from a point about 60 metres west of its junction with Tong Yan San Tsuen Road to a point about 250 metres west of the same junction;

        (e)       The section of Ping Fuk Lane from its junction with San Hi Tsuen Street to a point about 11 metres north of the same junction;

        (f)        The western kerbside lane of Ping Tong Street East from its junction with San Hi Tsuen Street to a point about 11 metres south of the same junction;

        (g)       The eastern kerbside lane of San Fui Street;

        (h)       The western kerbside lane of San Fui Street from a point about 110 metres south of its junction with San Hi Tsuen Street to its junction with Ping Tong Street South;

        (i)        The southern kerbside lane of Ping Tong Street North from its junction with San Fui Street to a point about 150 metres west of the same junction; and

        (j)        The northern kerbside lane of Ping Tong Street North from its junction with San Fui Street to a point about 130 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (a)       picking up or setting down passengers; or

        (b)       loading or unloading goods.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones as gazetted under G.N. 5857 of 2009 will be rescinded.
