ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS
(Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Sham Shui Po
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 5 February 2010, the following road sections will be designated restricted zones during the time periods specified below:
(a) 24 hours daily
(i) the eastern kerbside lane of Maple Street from its junction with Boundary Street to its junction with Ki Lung Street;
(ii) the southern kerbside lane of Ki Lung Street from its junction with Boundary Street to its junction with Maple Street; and
(iii) the northern kerbside lane of Boundary Street from its junction with Maple Street to its junction with Ki Lung Street.
(b) From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily
(i) the section of Maple Street from its junction with Ki Lung Street to its junction with Yu Chau Street;
(ii) the western kerbside lane of Maple Street from its junction with Boundary Street to its junction with Ki Lung Street; and
(iii) the northern kerbside lane of Ki Lung Street from its junction with Maple Street to its junction with Boundary Street (excluding the lay-by).
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above sections of roads will be rescinded.
