ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (Chapter 374)
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 19 February 2010, the following road sections will be subject to speed limits as specified below :
(I) 80 kilometres per hour:
The slip road from Shing Mun Tunnel Road to Tai Wai from its junction with Shing Mun Tunnel Road to a point about 100 metres south of the same junction.
(II) 70 kilometres per hour:
The eastbound carriageway of Shing Mun Tunnel Road from the exit of Shing Mun Tunnels eastbound tunnel tube to a point about 400 metres east of the same exit.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the road sections as gazetted in items (II)(6) & (II)(7) of G.N. 6411 dated 9 December 2005 will be rescinded.
