ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE  (Chapter 374)

SPEED LIMIT ON FANLING HIGHWAY

 

             In exercise of the power vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 26 February 2010, the following road sections on Fanling Highway will be subject to a speed limit of 100 kilometres per hour :

(a)        the section of the slip road leading from Lam Kam Interchange to the northbound carriageway of Fanling Highway from a point about 74 metres north of its junction with Tai Wo Service Road West to a point about 264 metres north of the same junction;

(b)        the section of the slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of Fanling Highway to Kai Leng roundabout from its diverging point with Fanling Highway to a point about 40 metres north of the same diverging point;

(c)        the section of the slip road leading from Kai Leng roundabout to the southbound carriageway of Fanling Highway from its merging point with Fanling Highway to a point about 65 metres north of the same merging point;

(d)        the section of the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of Fanling Highway to Tai Wo Service Road East from its diverging point with Fanling Highway to a point about 45 metres south of the same diverging point;

(e)        the section of the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of Fanling Highway to Lam Kam Interchange from a point about 240 metres north of its junction with Hong Lok Yuen Road to a point about 270 metres north of the same junction.

             At the same time, the existing speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour on the above sections of roads will be rescinded.
