ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS
(Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Sham Shui Po
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 9 March 2010, the following road sections in Sham Shui Po will be designated restricted zones from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily:
(a) the western kerbside lane of Maple Street from its junction with Yu Chau Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
(b) the northern kerbside lane of Yu Chau Street from its junction with Maple Street to its junction with Wong Chuk Street; and
(c) the eastern kerbside lane of Wong Chuk Street from its junction with Yu Chau Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above sections of roads will be rescinded.
