(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones in Sham Shui Po

 

                In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 16 March 2010, the following road sections in Sham Shui Po will be designated restricted zones during the time periods specified below:-

 

(a)    From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

 

The southern kerbside lane of Hai Tan Street from its junction with Nam Cheong Street to its junction with Kweilin Street.

 

 

(b)    From 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily

 

The southern kerbside lane of Po On Road from its junction with Pratas Street to its junction with Tonkin Street (except the public light bus stand).

               

                Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

                  (a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

 

                  (b) loading or unloading goods.

 

                The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

                At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above sections of roads will be rescinded.
