Speed Limit at Cross-Harbour Tunnel

              In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 19 March 2010, the following roads will be subject to speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour as specified below:-

              1.       Cross-Harbour Tunnel northbound tunnel tube;

              2.       Cross-Harbour Tunnel southbound tunnel tube;

              3.       The southbound carriageway of Cross-Harbour Tunnel connecting road to Gloucester Road from its junction with the exit of Cross-Harbour Tunnel southbound tunnel tube to a point about 100 metres south of the same junction;

              4.       The northbound carriageway of the approach road from Gloucester Road to Cross-Harbour Tunnel from a point about 450 metres south of its junction with the entrance of Cross-Harbour Tunnel northbound tunnel tube to tunnel tube entrance;

              5.       The northbound carriageway of Hong Chong Road from a point about 380 metres north of its junction with the exit of Cross-Harbour Tunnel northbound tunnel tube to a point about 480 metres north of the same junction.

              At the same time, all the speed limits as gazetted under G.N. 6408 dated 9 December 2005 will be rescinded.
