ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE  (Chapter 374)

SPEED LIMIT ON TOLO HIGHWAY

        In exercise of the power vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 1 April 2010, the following road sections on Tolo Highway will be subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour:

 

(a)        the section of the slip road leading from Lam Kam Road Interchange to the southbound carriageway of Tolo Highway from its merging point with Tolo Highway to a point about 320 metres north of the same merging point;

 

(b)        the section of the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of Tolo Highway to Tai Po Tai Wo Road from its diverging point with Tolo Highway to a point about 140 metres south of the same diverging point;

 

(c)        the section of the slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of Tolo Highway to Tai Po Tai Wo Road from its diverging point with Tolo Highway to a point about 40 metres north of the same diverging point;

 

(d)        the section of the slip road leading from Tai Po Tai Wo Road to the northbound carriageway of Tolo Highway from its merging point with Tolo Highway to a point about 30 metres south of the same merging point; and

 

(e)        the section of the slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of Tolo Highway to Lam Kam Road Interchange from its diverging point with Tolo Highway to a point about 150 metres north of the same diverging point.

 

             At the same time, the existing speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour on the above sections of roads will be rescinded.
