ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS

(CHAPTER 374)

Rescission of Prohibited Zone on Tung Chung Road, Lantau Island

                In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.01 am on 1 June 2010, the following prohibitions on the section of Tung Chung Road between Shek Mun Kap Road and South Lantau Road (near San Shek Wan) as gazetted on 30 January 2009 under G.N. 609 will be rescinded:

(a)    the 24-hour daily prohibited zone for all goods vehicles over 5.5 tonnes; and

(b)   the prohibited zone for all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and Lantau taxis, from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm daily.
