ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS

(Chapter 374)

Restricted Zone in Cheung Lai Street, Lai Chi Kok

 

                In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 2 July 2010, the section of Cheung Lai Street from its junction with Cheung Shun Street to its junction with Cheung Sha Wan Road will be designated a restricted zone from 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily.

 

                Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

                  (b) loading or unloading goods.

 

                The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above section of road will be rescinded.
