ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

                   

RESTRICTED ZONES IN TSIM SHA TSUI

                               

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10:00 am on 3 August 2010, the following road sections in Tsim Sha Tsui will be designated restricted zones at the time specified below:-

 

24 hours daily

 

(a)    the northern kerbside lane of Kimberley Street from its junction with Carnarvon Road to a point about 33 metres east of the same junction; and

 

(b)    the southern kerbside lane of Kimberley Street from its junction with Carnarvon Road to a point about 29 metres east of the same junction.

 

From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily (except general holidays)

 

(a)    the northern kerbside lane of Kimberley Street from a point about 43 metres west of its junction with Shun Yee Street to a point about 54 metres west of the same junction;

 

(b)    the northern kerbside lane of Kimberley Street from a point about 5 metres west of its junction with Shun Yee Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction;

 

(c)    the southern kerbside lane of Kimberley Street from a point about 58 metres west of its junction with Shun Yee Street to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction (except the general lay-by); and

 

(d)    the section of Shun Yee Street from its junction with Kimberley Street to a point about 26 metres south of the same junction.

 

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from: -

 

(a)       picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)       loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
