ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)

TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT ON LUNG MUN ROAD, TUEN MUN

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 3 September 2010 to 10.00 a.m. on 3 September 2012, the following road sections on Lung Mun Road, Tuen Mun will be subject to a temporary speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour to facilitate the drainage works: -

a)  the section of the northbound carriageway of Lung Mun Road from a point about 30 metres north of its northern junction with Lung Fu Road to a point about 525 metres north of the same junction;

b)  the section of the southbound carriageway of Lung Mun Road from its northern junction with Lung Fu Road to a point about  525 metres north of the same junction; and

c)  the section of Lung Mun Road from its northern junction with Lung Fu Road to its southern junction with Lung Fu Road.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.      

        At the same time, the existing speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
