ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zones on Ha San Wai Road, Yuen Long

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 24 September 2010, the following sections of roads will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

(i)   the section of Ha San Wai Road from its junction with an unnamed road to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction; and

(ii)  the section of an unnamed road from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with Ha San Wai Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
