Transport Department Notice

 

Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Diamond Hill

for Chung Yeung Festival 2010

 

                  Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Diamond Hill in connection with the Chung Yeung Festival:

 

• (I) Special Traffic Arrangements between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24 October 2010

 

• (A) Road Closure (Figure refers)

       

 (i) the following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except emergency vehicles, hearses and vehicles taking part in funeral processions):

• (1) the access road leading to the Diamond Hill Crematorium;
• (2) the access road between Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and China Light and Power (CLP) Sub- station; and
• (3) the access road adjacent to the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour leading to Sze Chen Hall.

 

 

(ii)   the section of Yuk Wah Street east of Tsz Wan Shan Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except private cars, taxis, emergency vehicles and police vehicles).

 

• (B) Traffic Diversions

 

(i)   vehicles (including Kowloon Green Minibus Route (GMB) Nos. 33 and 33M) shall follow Po Kong Village Road southbound downhill only for entering/leaving Fung Shing Street or Fu Shan Estate Carpark; and

(ii)   vehicles shall follow Po Kong Village Road northbound uphill only for entering/leaving Grandview Garden Carpark.

 

• (C) Suspension of Parking Spaces

 

(i)  the metered parking spaces on the unnamed road between the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and CLP Sub-station; and

(ii)  the motorcycle parking spaces in Yuk Wah Street near Yuk Hok Lane.

 

• (D) Designation of Taxi Pick up/ Set Down Points

 

(i)   Fung Shing Street westbound near Fu Yan House, Fu Shan Estate; and

(ii)  Yuk Wah Street westbound near Yuk Hok Lane.

 

(E)  Designation of Private Cars Pick Up/Set Down Point in Yuk Wah Street westbound near Yuk Hok Lane

 

 

• (II) Public Transport Arrangements

 

• (A) Bus Stop Arrangements between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on 10, 16 and 17 October 2010

 

(i)   the stop for KMB Route Nos. 3B and 3D on Po Kong Village Road outside CLP Sub-station will be relocated backward to combine with the stop for KMB Route Nos. 3M, 3P and 203E outside Po Leung Kuk No. 1 W.H. Cheung College;

(ii)   the stop for KMB Route Nos. 3M and 3P and Kowloon GMB Route Nos. 33 and 33M on Po Kong Village Road outside International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School will be relocated backward to combine with the bus stop for KMB Routes Nos. 3B, 3D, 116 and 203E opposite to Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour; and

(iii)  the stop for KMB Route Nos. 3B, 3D, 3M, 3P, 116 and 203E on Po Kong Village Road outside Diamond Hill Crematorium will be suspended.

 

• (B) Special Bus Service

 

KMB Route No. 3S (Diamond Hill Station - Diamond Hill Cemetery)(Circular) will be operated between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm on 16 October 2010.

  Appropriate traffic aids/ signage will be erected to guide motorists. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, traffic control and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on traffic conditions in the areas. Members of the public are also advised to use public transport for access to Diamond Hill Cemetery area and observe the instruction given by the Police.
