ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Restricted Zone on Po On Road, Sham Shui Po

 

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 22 October 2010, the northern kerbside lane of Po On Road from a point about 35 metres west of its junction with Hing Wah Street northbound to a point about 55 metres west of its junction with Cheung Fat Street will be designated a restricted zone 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight daily.

  

          Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)   picking up or setting down passengers; or

                  (b) loading or unloading goods.

 

          The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

 

          At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the northern kerbside lane of Po On Road from a point about 35 metres west of its junction with Hing Wah Street northbound to a point about 70 metres west of its junction with Cheung Fat Street will be rescinded.
