ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones in Tai Kok Tsui

 

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 22 October 2010, the following road sections in Tai Kok Tsui will be designated restricted zones 7.00am to 12.00 midnight daily:

 

(a)     the eastern kerbside lane of Tai Kok Tsui (Cherry Street) PLB ‘Scheduled’ Service Terminus and Taxi Stand from a point about 5 metres south of its junction with Cherry Street to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction; and

 

(b)     the western kerbside lane of Tai Kok Tsui (Cherry Street) PLB ‘Scheduled’ Service Terminus and Taxi Stand from a point about 5 metres south of its junction with Cherry Street to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction.

 

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

 

                  (b) loading or unloading goods.

 

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
