ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)

 

SPEED LIMIT ON TSING TIN ROAD, TUEN MUN

 

 

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 1 November 2010, the following road sections in Tuen Mun will be subject to a speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour:

 

(a)   the eastbound carriageway of Tsing Tin Road from a point about 30 metres east of its junction with Ming Kum Road to its diverging point with the two slip roads leading to Tuen Mun Road; and

 

(b)  the westbound carriageway of Tsing Tin Road from a point 50 metres east of its junction with Ming Kum Road to a point about 360 metres east of the same junction.

 

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

 

At the same time, the speed limit on the road sections as specified below will be rescinded：

 

(a)   the temporary speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour on Tsing Tin Road as gazetted in G.N. 5493 dated 8 August 2008; and

 

(b)  the speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour on the slip road leading from Tsing Tin Road eastbound onto Tuen Mun Road southbound.
