ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zone on Ma Miu Road, Yuen Long

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 5 November 2010, the western kerbside lane of Ma Miu Road from a point about 80 metres north of its junction with Castle Peak Road (Yuen Long) to a point about 140 metres north of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

        (a)     picking up or setting down passengers; or

        (b)     loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
