Transport Department Notice 

Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Sha Tin for Chung Yeung Festival 2011

    Notice is hereby given that the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm daily on 18, 24, 25 September and 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 15 and 16 October 2011 in the vicinity of Po Fook Memorial Hall and Fu Shan Crematorium in Tai Wai; and Po Fook Hill and To Fung Shan in Sha Tin:

• (a)    the section of Lower Shing Mun Road between Yau On Street and Fu Shan Crematorium will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except for hearses, vehicles taking part in funeral processions, Green Minibus Route No. 64K and emergency vehicles);
• (b) the section of Pai Tau Street west of its junction with Sheung Wo Che Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except for emergency vehicles); and
• (c) the section of To Fung Shan Road north of its junction with Pak Lok Path will be closed to all vehicular traffic except emergency vehicle, vehicles serving residents and persons working in To Fung Shan, shuttle bus service plying between To Fung Shan and Tai Wai Station.

    During the above period of road closure, grave-sweepers are advised to make use of public transport to go to the above areas. Any vehicle found illegally parked near the above areas may be towed away by the Police without prior notice. 

   Appropriate traffic signs will be put up and Police Officers will be on-site to guide the public. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures and traffic control will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas.
