ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

 Restricted Zones on Tat Mei Road and the unnamed access road leading to 

West Kowloon Emergency Response Centre, Kwai Chung

   

 

   In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 4 November 2011, the following road sections in Kwai Chung will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

 

(a)      Tat Mei Road; and

(b)      The section of unnamed access road leading to West Kowloon Emergency Response Centre from its junction with Tat Mei Road to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction.

 

   Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

 

(a)        picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)        loading or unloading goods.

 

   The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
