Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Hung Hom

 

                  Notice is hereby given that in order to facilitate the construction of Kwun Tong Line Extension, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 10.00 a.m. on 28 December 2011 for a period of about 22 months :-.  

 

A.   Temporary Traffic Arrangements

 

1.          The section of Tak Man Street between Man Tai Street and Hung Hom Road will be converted from two-way traffic to one-way eastbound traffic;

 

2.          Turning movements for all vehicles from Hung Hom Road onto Tak Man Street will be banned; and

 

3.          Affected vehicles on Hung Hom Road heading for Tak Man Street will be diverted to travel via Man Tai Street and Tak Man Street.

 

B.  Temporary Public Transport Arrangements

 

1.          GMB Terminus

 

The terminus of Kowloon GMB route no. 6A in Tak Man Street will be relocated to Man Tai Street (near the junction with Tak Man Street). Its journey to the relocated terminus will be diverted via Hung Hom Road northbound and Man Tai Street.

 

2.          GMB Stops

 

(a)       The GMB stops in Tak Man Street westbound of Kowloon GMB route nos. 2 and 13 will be relocated to Man Tai Street (near the end of the relocated terminus of Kowloon GMB route no. 6A). Their journeys to Kowloon Tong will be diverted via Hung Hom Road northbound, Man Tai Street and Tak Man Street westbound before resuming its original routeing.

 

(b)       The GMB stops in Tak Man Street eastbound of Kolwoon GMB route nos. 2, 6 and 13 will be relocated about 20 metres westward (outside Yuen Wah Building).

 

3.          Bus Stops

 

The bus stops in Tak Man Street eastbound serving KMB route nos. 5D, 8A, 12A, 30X, 212, 230X, CTB route nos. E23, N23 and XHT route no. 115 (outside Lok Wah Building) will be relocated about 40 metres westward (outside Yuen Wah Building).

 

4.          Taxi pick-up and drop-off point

 

The taxi pick-up and drop-off point in Tak Man Street will be relocated about 50 metres westward (outside Lok Fu Building). The heading direction of the taxi pick-up and drop-off point will change from Wuhu Street bound to Whampoa Garden bound.

 

                  Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The bus and GMB operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
