Restricted Zones in Sham Tsz Street, Tsuen Wan

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 13 January 2012, the following road sections in Tsuen Wan will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

(i) the eastern kerbside lane of Sham Tsz Street from its junction with Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to a point about 55 metres south of the same junction; and

(ii) the western kerbside lane of Sham Tsz Street from its junction with Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to a point about 40 metres south of the same junction.

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b) loading or unloading goods.

The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

At the same time, the existing restricted zone 24 hours daily on the section of Sham Tsz Street from its junction with Castle Peak Road - Sham Tseng to a point about 40 metres south of the same junction as gazetted under G.N. 1079 on 9 February 2007 will be rescinded.
