Speed Limit On Tuen Mun Road, Tuen Mun
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.01 am on 19 February 2012 until 18 December 2014, the following sections of Tuen Mun Road will be subject to a temporary speed limit of 70 kilometres per hour to facilitate road works: -
(a) the section of eastbound Tuen Mun Road between its junction with the slip road connecting Wong Chu Road to Tuen Mun Road and a point about 170 metres west of its junction with the slip road connecting Tuen Mun Road to Sham Tseng; and
(b) the section of westbound Tuen Mun Road between a point about 30 metres west of its junction with the slip road connecting Sham Tseng to Tuen Mun Road and a point about 830 metres east of its junction with the slip road connecting Tuen Mun Road to Wong Chu Road. .
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour on the above sections of Tuen Mun Road as gazetted in G.N. 2018 dated 16 April 1999 will be temporarily rescinded.
