TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Yau Ma Tei
Notice is hereby given that in connection with the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Yau Ma Tei from 9.30 a.m. on 12 February 2012 for about 6 months:
A. Traffic Arrangements
I. Opening of Temporary Roads
Road D3E connecting Lin Cheung Road and Road D1A (S) will be opened for two-way traffic.
II. Road Closure
The section of Jordan Road between Lin Cheung Road and Road D1A (S) will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
III. Traffic Diversions
1. Vehicles from Lin Cheung Road northbound, Jordan Road westbound, Road D1A (S) northbound and Road D1A(N) heading for West Kowloon Highway or MTR Kowloon Station will be diverted to travel via Road D3E westbound and Jordan Road westbound or Lin Cheung Road northbound.
2. Vehicles from Lin Cheung Road northbound and Jordan Road eastbound heading for Yau Ma Tei and Kowloon East will be diverted to travel via Road D3E eastbound and Jordan Road eastbound.
3. Vehicles from Lin Cheung Road northbound and Jordan Road eastbound heading for Tsim Sha Tsui will be diverted to travel via Road D3E eastbound and Road D1A (S) southbound.
B. Public Transport Arrangements
I. Bus and GMB Route Diversions
1. KMB Routes 36B, 42A, 46, 60X, 63X, 68X, 69X, 81, 95, 296D, Cross Harbour Routes 914, 914X, 970, 970X, 971, 973 and GMB Routes 26, 26A, 74, 74S from Jordan Road westbound or Road D1A (S) northbound heading for To Wah Road, MTR Kowloon Station and Hong Kong Island will be diverted to travel via Road D3E westbound before resuming its normal routeing on Jordan Road westbound.
2. KMB Routes 260X, 268B, 269B and Citybus Routes A22, E23, N11, N23 from Jordan Road westbound heading for New Territories West and Airport will be diverted to travel via Road D3E westbound before resuming its normal routeing on Lin Cheung Road northbound.
3. KMB Routes 36B, 42A, 46, 60X, 63X, 68X, 69X, 81, 95, Cross Harbour Routes 914, 970, 970X, 971 and GMB Routes 26, 26A, 74, 74S from Jordan Road eastbound heading for New Territories, Sham Shui Po and Kowloon East will be diverted to travel via Road D3E eastbound before resuming its normal routeing on Jordan Road eastbound.
4. Cross Harbour Route 973 from Jordan Road eastbound heading for Tsim Sha Tsui will be diverted to travel via Road D3E eastbound before resuming its normal routeing on Road D1A (S) southbound.
II. Bus and GMB Stops Arrangements
1. The bus stop for KMB Routes 36B, 42A, 46, 60X, 63X, 68X, 69X, 81, 95, 296D, Cross Harbour Routes 970, 970X, 971, 973 and the GMB stop for GMB Routes 26, 26A, 74, 74S on Jordan Road westbound near Lin Cheung Road will be relocated to Road D3E westbound near Lin Cheung Road.
2. The bus stop for KMB Routes 36B, 42A, 46, 81, 95 and Cross Harbour Routes 914, 970, 970X, 971 on Jordan Road eastbound near Lin Cheung Road will be relocated to Jordan Road eastbound opposite MTR Austin Station.
Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The public transport operators will display notices at the stops and inside vehicle compartments of the affected routes to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
