ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)
Temporary Restricted Zone in Yiu Wing Street, Kwai Chung
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 2.00 p.m. on 10 March 2012, the eastern kerbside lane of Yiu Wing Street from a point about 110 metres north of its junction with Wo Tong Tsui Street to a point about 190 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours during the periods as specified below:
(i) from 2.00 pm on 10 March 2012 to 6.00 am on 12 March 2012;
(ii) from 2.00 pm on 17 March 2012 to 6.00 am on 19 March 2012;
(iii) from 2.00 pm on 24 March 2012 to 6.00 am on 26 March 2012;
(iv) from 2.00 pm on 31 March 2012 to 6.00 am on 2 April 2012;
(v) from 2.00 pm on 7 April 2012 to 6.00 am on 9 April 2012;
(vi) from 2.00 pm on 14 April 2012 to 6.00 am on 16 April 2012;
(vii) from 2.00 pm on 21 April 2012 to 6.00 am on 23 April 2012;
(viii) from 2.00 pm on 28 April 2012 to 6.00 am on 30 April 2012;
(ix) from 2.00 pm on 5 May 2012 to 6.00 am on 7 May 2012;
(x) from 2.00 pm on 12 May 2012 to 6.00 am on 14 May 2012; and
(xi) from 2.00 pm on 19 May 2012 to 6.00 am on 21 May 2012.
Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
