ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone in Fat Tseung Street, Sham Shui Po

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 30 March 2012 to 23 May 2012, the carriageway of Fat Tseung Street from a point about 10 metres north of its junction with Un Chau Street to a point about 40 metres north of the same junction will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily.

     Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b)  loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
