ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone in Hing Wah Street, Sham Shui Po

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the section of Hing Wah Street between Lai Chi Kok Road and Fortune Street will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily during the period as specified below:                                  

• From 2.00 pm on 21 April 2012 to 6.00 am 23 April 2012;
• From 2.00 pm on 28 April 2012 to 6.00 am 30 April 2012;
• From 2.00 pm on 5 May 2012 to 6.00 am 7 May 2012;
• From 2.00 pm on 12 May 2012 to 6.00 am 14 May 2012;
• From 2.00 pm on 19 May 2012 to 6.00 am 21 May 2012; and
• From 2.00 pm on 26 May 2012 to 6.00 am 28 May 2012.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b)  loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
