Extension of Temporary Speed Limit on Fanling Highway

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 6 May 2012 to 5 May 2013, (i) the section of the southbound carriageway of Fanling Highway from a point about 80 metres north of its junction with Po Shek Wu Road to a point about 60 metres north of its junction with Pak Wo Road (near Dawning Views); and (ii) the section of the northbound carriageway of Fanling Highway from a point about 200 metres south of its junction with Pak Wo Road (near Dawning Views) to a point about 80 metres north of its junction with Po Shek Wu Road will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour to facilitate noise barrier works.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
