ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS(CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Prohibited Zones for Vehicles Exceeding 4.7 Metres in Height on Tolo Highway, Tai Po

          In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 1 May 2012 to 10.00 am on 17 December 2012, the following sections of Tolo Highway will be temporarily designated as prohibited zones for vehicles exceeding 4.7 metres in height:

(a)           The section of Tolo Highway (Kowloon bound) between the slip road leading to Tai Po Road – Yuen Chau Tsai westbound and Yuen Shin Road; and

(b)          The section of Tolo Highway (Fanling bound) between Care Village and Kwong Fuk Park.

                   Drivers of all vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from driving vehicles exceeding 4.7 metres in height into the above temporary prohibited zones.

          The extent of the temporary prohibited zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.
