ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zone in Berwick Street, Shek Kip Mei

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12 May 2012 to 2 July 2012, the section of Berwick Street from its junction with Nam Cheong Street to a point about 65 metres west of the same junction will continue to be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily.

     Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
