ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)
Temporary Restricted Zones on Hoi Wang Road, Tai Kok Tsui
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 11 January 2013 to 5.00 p.m. on 30 June 2013, the following road sections in Tai Kok Tsui will be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily to facilitate the construction of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link:
(a) the eastern kerbside lane of Hoi Wang Road from a point about 90 metres south of its northern junction with Hoi Ting Road to a point about 185 metres south of the same junction (except the bus bay and layby);
(b) the eastern kerbside lane of Hoi Wang Road from its southern junction with Hoi Ting Road to a point about 210 metres north of the same junction; and
(c) the western kerbside lane of Hoi Wang Road from a point about 130 metres north of its southern junction with Hoi Ting Road to a point about 285 metres north of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
