Temporary Closure of Wong Chu Road

 

Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the noise barrier construction works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented from 00.45 am to 5.00 am daily on 4 to 9, 11, 12, 14, 18 to 22, and 26 to 30 June 2013:

       

(A)   Road Closure

The unnamed slip road leading from Wong Chu Road eastbound to Tuen Mun Road southbound will be temporarily closed to all vehicles.

 

(B) Traffic Diversion

Affected motorists are advised to travel via Tuen Mun Road northbound, Tuen Hing Road eastbound.

 

(C) Partial Lane Closure

The following traffic lanes will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

 

(a) The fast lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from a point about 268 metres south of its northern junction with Tuen Fat Road to a point about 795 metres south of the same junction;

(b) The slow lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from a point about 795 metres south of its northern junction with Tuen Fat Road to a point about 1078 metres south of the same junction.; and

(c) The slow lane, second slow lane and second fast lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from a point about 1078 metres south of its northern junction with Tuen Fat Road to a point about 1388 metres south of the same junction.

 

(D)         Public Transport Arrangements

The following bus and GMB routes will be temporarily diverted:

LWB Route No. N30

To Tung Chung

via Tuen Mun Road northbound, Tuen Hing Road eastbound and then resume to original routeing.

 

GMB Route No. 49S

To Wan Chai

via Tuen Mun Road northbound, Tuen Hing Road eastbound and then resume to original routeing.

 

No stop of the above bus and GMB routes will be affected.

 

Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care. At the same time, the bus companies and the GMB operator will put up notices to advise passengers of the above temporary transport arrangements.
