Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Chapter 374)

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones in Tsim Sha Tsui

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10 June 2013 to 10 August 2013, the following road sections in Tsim Sha Tsui will continue to be temporarily designated ­restricted zones 24 hours daily:

• (a) the eastern kerbside lane of Nathan Road from a point about 15 metres north of its junction with Hillwood Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction; and
• (b) the section of Hillwood Road from its junction with Nathan Road to a point about 50 metres east of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
