Temporary Closure of Tuen Mun Road Westbound (Yau Kom Tau Section)
Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the installation of sign gantry on Tuen Mun Road westbound (Yau Kom Tau Section), the following temporary traffic and public transport arrangements will be implemented in Tsuen Wan:
A) Lane Closure
The following traffic lanes will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:
(1) from 10.00 pm on 20 June 2013 to 12:00 am on 21 June 2013:
the fast lane of Tuen Mun Road westbound between Chai Wan Kok and Ting Kau Bridge; and
(2) from 12.00 am to 1.30 am on 21 June 2013:
the fast and middle lane of Tuen Mun Road westbound between Chai Wan Kok and Ting Kau Bridge.
B) Road Closure
The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 1.30 am to 5.45 am on 21 June 2013:
(1) the section of Tuen Mun Road westbound between Chai Wan Kok and Ting Kau Bridge;
(2) the slip road leading from Castle Peak Road westbound to Tuen Mun Road westbound; and
(3) the section of Tsuen Wan Road westbound between Tai Chung Road roundabout and Tuen Mun Road.
C) Traffic Diversion
(a) Traffic Diversions towards Tuen Mun
(i) Motorists on Cheung Pei Shan Road westbound heading for Tuen Mun are advised to travel via Castle Peak Road westbound, Hoi Hing
Road southbound, Hoi On Road westbound, Castle Peak Road westbound and Sham Tseng Interchange; and
(ii) Motorists on Tsuen Wan Road westbound heading for Tuen Mun are advised to travel via Tai Chung Road roundabout, Hoi Hing Road
westbound, Hoi On Road westbound, Castle Peak Road westbound and Sham Tseng Interchange.
(b) Traffic Diversions towards Tai Lam Tunnel
(i) Motorists on Cheung Pei Shan Road westbound heading for Tai Lam Tunnel are advised to travel via Castle Peak Road westbound, Hoi Hing
Road southbound, Tai Chung Road roundabout, Tsuen Wan Road eastbound, Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Tsing Tsuen Road westbound, Tam
Kon Shan Interchange, Tsang Yi Road West southbound, Cheung Tsing Highway northbound, Northwest Tsing Yi Interchange and Tsing Long
Highway northbound; and
(ii) Motorists on Tsuen Wan Road westbound heading for Tai Lam Tunnel are advised to travel via Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Tsing Tsuen Road
westbound, Tam Kon Shan Interchange, Tsang Yi Road West southbound, Cheung Tsing Highway northbound, Northwest Tsing Yi Interchange
and Tsing Long Highway northbound.
D) Public Transport Arrangements
(a) Temporary Diversions of bus services
(i) KMB route no. N260 (to Tuen Mun) will be diverted to operate via Castle Peak Road westbound, Tai Chung Road southbound, Tai Chung Road
roundabout, Hoi Hing Road westbound, Hoi On Road westbound, Castle Peak Road westbound and Sham Tseng Interchange before resuming its
original routeing;
(ii) KMB route no. N269 (to Tin Shui Wai) will be diverted to operate via Castle Peak Road westbound, Tai Chung Road southbound, Tai Chung
Road roundabout, Tsuen Wan Road eastbound, Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Tsing Tsuen Road westbound, Tam Kon Shan Interchange, Tsang Yi
Road West southbound, Cheung Tsing Highway northbound, Northwest Tsing Yi Interchange and Tsing Long Highway northbound before
resuming its original routeing; and
(iii) KMB route no. N368 (to Yuen Long) will be diverted to operate via Gascoigne Road westbound, Jordan Road westbound, West Kowloon Highway
northbound, Tsing Kwai Highway westbound, Cheung Tsing Tunnel westbound, Cheung Tsing Highway northbound, Northwest Tsing Yi
Interchange and Tsing Long Highway northbound before resuming its original routeing.
(b) Temporary Diversions of Green Mini-bus (GMB) service
(i) GMB route nos. 47S, 48S (to Tuen Mun), 606S (to Yuen Long) and 610S (to Tin Shui Wai) will be diverted to operate via Tsuen Wan Road
westbound, Tai Chung Road roundabout, Hoi Hing Road westbound, Hoi On Road westbound, Castle Peak Road westbound and Sham Tseng
Interchange before resuming their original routeings; and
(ii) GMB route no. 49S (to Tuen Mun) will be diverted to operate via Castle Peak Road westbound, Hoi Hing Road southbound, Hoi On Road
westbound, Castle Peak Road westbound and Sham Tseng Interchange before resuming its original routeing.
(c) Suspension of bus stop
(i) The bus stop of KMB route nos. N260 and N269 on Castle Peak Road westbound near Tsuen King Circuit Flyover will be suspended.
Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive with utmost care. At the same time, the bus companies and the GMB operator will put up notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
