Temporary Closure of Tuen Mun Road (Town Centre Section)

 

Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the road works on Tuen Mun Road (Town Centre Section), the following temporary traffic and public transport arrangements will be implemented in Tuen Mun from 12.30 am to 5.30 am on 23 June 2013:

 

A)        Road Closure

The section of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its junction with the unnamed slip road to Pui To Road to its junction with the unnamed slip toad leading from Tuen Hing Road to Tuen Mun Road southbound will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

 

B)        Traffic Diversion

(a)   Affected motorists on Tuen Mun Road southbound heading for Kowloon are advised to travel via Pui To Road eastbound, Castle Peak Road southbound and Tuen Hing Road westbound;

(b)   Affected motorists on Tuen Fat Road heading for Tuen Mun Road southbound are advised to travel via Tuen Shing Street eastbound, Castle Peak Road southbound and Tuen Hing Road westbound.

 

C)        Partial Lane Closure

The following traffic lanes will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

(i)    The middle lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its junction with the unnamed slip road to Pui To Road to a point about 300 metres north of the same junction;

(ii)   The fast lane of Tuen Mun Road southbound from its junction with the unnamed slip road to Pui To Road to a point about 500 metres north of the same junction.

 

D)       Public Transport Arrangements

The following GMB route will be temporarily diverted:

via Pui To Road eastbound, Castle Peak Road southbound and Tuen Hing Road westbound and resume to original routeing.

 

In connection with the above GMB diversion, the following stop will be suspended and temporarily provided:

Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care. At the same time, the GMB operator will put up notices to advise passengers of the above temporary public transport arrangements.
