ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Restricted Zone on Ka Ting Road in Kwai Chung

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 September 2013, the northern kerbside lane of Ka Ting Road from its junction with Kwai Ting Road to a point about 25 metres east of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily.

      Within the above restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

      (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

      (b) loading or unloading goods.

      The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

      At the same time, the existing restricted zone from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily on the above road section as gazetted under G.N. 8041 in 2001 will be rescinded.
