ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Restricted Zone at Shanghai Street, Mong Kok

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 25 October 2013, the eastern kerbside lane of Shanghai Street from its junction with Fife Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction will be designated a restricted zone from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily.

     Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except public light buses, franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the restricted zone as gazetted in G.N. 5435 of 2001 will be rescinded.
