ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone on Kau Yuk Road, Yuen Long 

　　In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the following road sections will be designated as temporary restricted zones from 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight daily with effect from 10.00 am on 22 April 2014 to 6.00 pm on 10 May 2014:

　　(a) The western kerbside lane of Sai Yu Street from its junction with Kau Yuk Road to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction;

　　(b) The southern kerbside lane of Kau Yuk Road from its junction with Sai Yu Street to its junction with Ma Tin Road; and

　　(c) The eastern kerbside lane of Ma Tin Road from its junction with Kau Yuk Road to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction.

　　Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

　　(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

　　(b) loading or unloading goods.

　　The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

　　At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections from 7.00 am to 10.00 am and from 4.00 pm to 12.00 midnight will be temporarily rescinded.
