ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone at Tai Nan Street, Mong Kok

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 am on 28 July 2014 to 9 August 2014, the section of Tai Nan Street from a point about 5 metres south of its junction with Poplar Street to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily designated a restricted zone from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily.

        Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b)  loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
