ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374) 

Temporary Restricted Zones in Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange, Yuen Long

　　In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that the following road sections will be designated as temporary restricted zones 24 hours daily with effect from 10.00 am on 19 August 2014 to 6.00 pm on 17 October 2014.

　　(a) The southbound carrriageway of Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange from a point about 70 meters south of its junction with Ma Wang Road to a point about 110 metres south of the same junction (excluding the public light bus (scheduled service) stand);

　　(b) The northbound carrriageway of Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange from a point about 30 meters south of its junction with Ma Wang Road to a point about 80 metres south of the same junction (excluding the general loading layby); and

　　(c) The southern kerbside lane of Long Ping Station (South) Public Transport Interchange from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with Po Fai Path to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction.

　　Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

　　(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

　　(b) loading or unloading goods.

　　The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

　　At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections as gazetted under G.N. 4194 of 2005, G.N. 7851 of 2007 and G.N. 4312 of 2014 will be temporarily rescinded.
