ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones on Hoi Fan Road, Tai Kok Tsui

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 22 August 2014, the following road sections on Hoi Fan Road will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

• (a) the northern kerbside lane of Hoi Fan Road from a point about 100 metres west of its junction with Hoi Fai Road to a point about 150 metres west of the same junction; and
• (b) the southern kerbside lane of Hoi Fan Road from a point about 115 metres west of its junction with Hoi Fai Road to a point about 160 metres west of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zone from 7.00 am to 12.00 midnight on the above road sections will be rescinded.
