Temporary Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Wan Chai

             Notice is hereby given that in order to facilitate the construction of Shatin to Central Link, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Wan Chai from 2.00 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. on 25 September 2014:

A. Road Closure

The second exit road leading from Cross Harbour Tunnel Portal to Causeway Bay / Tai Hang will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B. Traffic Diversions

During the road closure period, affected vehicles may use the following alternative routeings:
(i) to Causeway Bay / Tai Hang direction: via the first exit road leading from Cross Harbour Tunnel Portal to North Point, Victoria Park Road eastbound, Wing Hing Street, Electric Road, Hing Fat Street, Tsing Fung Street, Victoria Park Road westbound, Gloucester Road westbound, Paterson Street, Great George Street and Gloucester Road elevated road.
(ii) to Causeway Bay direction: via the slip road leading to Gloucester Road westbound, Tonnochy Road northbound, Hung Hing Road eastbound, Wan Shing Street southbound, Wan Ying Street, Marsh Road elevated road southbound, Lockhart Road eastbound, Percival Street southbound, Hennessy Road eastbound, Yee Wo Street eastbound, Sugar Street eastbound and Gloucester Road northbound.

C. Public Transport Arrangements

During the road closure period, affected bus routes (N11, N170 and N171) and GMB route (49S) heading to Causeway Bay direction will be diverted to travel via the slip road leading to Canal Road Flyover southbound, Canal Road Flyover southbound, Canal Road East, Canal Road West, Canal Road Flyover northbound, Hung Hing Road Flyover eastbound and Victoria Park Road eastbound before resuming its normal routeing.

            Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on site to guide motorists. The bus companies will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
