ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS
(CHAPTER 374)
 

Restricted Zones on Tai Wo Hau Road and Tai Ha Street, Kwai Chung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 6 March 2015, the following sections of Tai Wo Hau Road and Tai Ha Street will be designated restricted zones during the hours stated below:-

(i)   24 hours daily

(a)  the western kerbside lane of Tai Ha Street from its western junction with Tai Wo Hau Road to a point about 35 metres north of the same junction; and
(b)  the northern kerbside lane of Tai Wo Hau Road from its western junction with Tai Ha Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction.

(ii) From 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily

(a)  the western kerbside lane of Tai Ha Street from a point about 35 metres north of its western junction with Tai Wo Hau Road to a point about 95 metres north of the same junction.

   Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

   (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or
   (b)  loading or unloading goods.

  The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

  At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
