ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374)

 Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones on Kwai Cheong Road and Tai Lin Pai Road, Kwai Chung

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.00 midnight on 25 March 2015, the following road sections of Kwai Cheong Road and Tai Lin Pai Road will continue to be temporarily designated restricted zones 24 hours daily until 9 April 2015:

(a) the southern kerbside lane of Kwai Cheong Road from its northern junction with Tai Lin Pai Road to a point about 25 metres west of the same junction; and 
(b) the western kerbside lane of Tai Lin Pai Road from its nortern junction with Kwai Cheong Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones has been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. daily on the above road sections will continue to be temporarily rescinded.
