ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)
Restricted Zones in Tai Kok Tsui
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 20 March 2015, the following road sections in Tai Kok Tsui will be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:-
- (a) the section of Anchor Street from a point about 15 metres west of its junction with Beech Street to its junction with Pine Street;
- (b) the western kerbside lane of Beech Street from its junction with Anchor Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
- (c) the eastern kerbside lane of Beech Street from its junction with Anchor Street to a point about 20 metres north of the same junction;
- (d) the section of Beech Street from its junction with Anchor Street to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
- (e) the western kerbside lane of Pine Street from its junction with Anchor Street to a point about 5 metres north of the same junction; and
- (f) the western kerbside lane of Tit Shu Street from its junction with Anchor Street to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
- (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
- (b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
