Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for a Duathlon Event in Kam Tin
Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Kam Tin to facilitate the holding of a duathlon event on 24 May 2015 (Sunday):
(A) Road Closure
The following sections of roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6.00 a.m. until the end of the event. The actual implementation time of road closure may be advanced if necessary:

(1) |
The section of Kam Ho Road between the exit of the public carpark at Kam Sheung Road Station and the roundabout at junction of Kam Ho Road and Pat Heung Road; |

(2) |
The section of an unnamed road between the vehicular ingress/egress of MTR Kam Tin Building and the roundabout at junction of Kam Ho Road and Tung Wui Road; |
|
(3) |
The section of Kam Po Road between Kam Ho Road and Tung Wui Road; |
|
(4) |
The section of Kam Wui Road between Kam Po Road near Goodview Court and Tung Wui Road; and |
|
(5) |
The section of Tung Wui Road between its junction with Kam Sheung Road Station Public Transport Interchange and the roundabout at junction on Kam Ho Road and Tung Wui Road. |
(B) Traffic Diversion

(1) |
Motorists on Tung Wui Road heading for Kam Ho Road are advised to travel via Kam Sheung Road and Kam Tin Road; |
|
(2) |
Motorists on Tung Wui Road via Kam Ho Road heading for Pat Heung Road are advised to travel via Kam Sheung Road; |
|
(3) |
Motorists on Pat Heung Road via Kam Ho Road heading for Tung Wui Road are advised to travel via Kam Sheung Road; and |
|
(4) |
Motorists on Kam Ho Road heading for Kam Sheung Road Station are advised to travel via Kam Sheung Road and Tung Wui Road. |
(C) Public Transport Service Arrangement

During period of road closure, KMB Route No. 251B (Pat Heung Road - Sheung Tsuen (Circular)) will be re-routed to Tung Wui Road, Kam Sheung Road Station Public Transport Interchange, Tung Wui Road, Kam Sheung Road and Kam Tin Road in lieu of the lay-by outside Exit D of Kam Sheung Road Station and Kam Ho Road before resuming its normal routeing for both bounds service. |
| GMB Route No. 601 (Yuen Long (Fung Cheung Road) - Pak Wai Tsuen) will be re-routed to operate via Kam Tin Road, Kam Sheung Road, Tung Wui Road, Kam Sheung Road Station Public Transport Interchange, Tung Wui Road and Kam Tin Road in lieu of Kam Ho Road before resuming its normal routeing for both bounds service. |
| N.T. Residents' Service Route No. NR960 (The Scenicwood - Kam Sheung Road Station) and NR960A (The Scenicwood - Yuen Long Tai Cheung Street (Circular)) will be re-routed to Public Transport Interchange outside Exit C of Kam Sheung Road Station in lieu of the lay-by outside Exit D of Kam Sheung Road Station before resuming its normal routeing for both bounds service. |

N.T. Residents' Service Route No. NR968 (Seasons Monarch - Tai Lam Tunnel Bus-bus Interchange (Circular)) will be re-routed to Tung Wui Road, Kam Sheung Road Station Public Transport Interchange, Tung Wui Road, Kam Sheung Road and Pat Heung Road in lieu of Kam Ho Road before resuming its normal routeing for both bounds service. |
(D) Suspension of Parking Spaces

The private vehicles, buses and motorcycles parking spaces outside Exit D of Kam Sheung Road will be suspended from 8.00 p.m. on 23 May 2015 until completion of the procession. |
(E) Attention and Appeal

Appropriate temporary traffic signage will be erected on site to guide motorists. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closure, traffic control and public transport service diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on the prevailing circumstances, traffic and crowd conditions in the areas. Motorists are advised not to drive to the affected areas, and to drive with utmost care and patience and take heed of the instruction given by the Police on site. The GMB operator will display notices at stops to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. |
