Transport Department Notice

 

Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in Sai Kung Town for the Tin Hau Festival in 2015

             

Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Sai Kung Town in order to facilitate the holding of theatrical performance for the Tin Hau Festival 2015:

 

From 10.00 am on 29 May 2015 to 2.00 pm on 27 June 2015

 

A)        Road Closure and Traffic Diversion

 

a)    The section of Yi Chun Street north of Sai Kung Yi Chun Street Refuse Collection Point to Man Nin Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic;

b)    The section of Nin Chun Street between Man Nin Street and Yi Chun Street will be converted from one-way southbound to one-way northbound traffic;

c)    The section of Man Nin Street between Yi Chun Street and Nin Chun Street will be converted into two-way traffic; and

d)    During the period of above road closure, motorists at Man Nin Street heading for Po Tung Road will be diverted to travel via Nin Chun Street and Man Nin Street.

 

B)           Green Minibus (“GMB”) Termini Relocation and Route Diversion

 

The Termini for N.T. GMB Route Nos. 2, 3, 3A, 4 and 4A at Yi Chun Street will be temporarily relocated to Man Nin Street.  At the same time, these GMB routes will be diverted to travel via Nin Chun Street and Man Nin Street.

 

C)           Suspension of Taxi Stand

The taxi stand at Yi Chun Street will be suspended.

 

From 8.00 am on 29 May 2015 to 2.00 pm on 27 June 2015

 

D)           Suspension of Parking Spaces

 

The following parking spaces will be suspended:

a)    The parking spaces at Man Nin Street (section between Yi Chun Street and Nin Chun Street);

b)    The parking spaces in Yi Chun Street; and

c)    3 parking spaces for goods vehicles in Po Tung Road Car Park.

 

Appropriate traffic aids will be provided on site and police officers will be stationed to guide motorists. Public transport operators will post up notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
