ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Temporary Restricted Zone on Mong Kok Road, Mong Kok

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 8 June 2015 to 21 July 2015, the southern kerbside lane of Mong Kok Road from a point about 20 metres west of its junction with Canton Road to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily designated a restricted zone 24 hours daily.

     Within the restricted zone, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zone will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zone on the above road section will be temporarily rescinded.
