ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (Chapter 374)

Restricted Zones on Hoi Ting Road, Tai Kok Tsui

     In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 26 June 2015, the following road sections on Hoi Ting Road will be designated as the following restricted zones:-

From 7.00 am to 7.00 pm daily

• (a) the northern kerbside lane of Hoi Ting Road from a point about 125 metres east of its northern junction with Hoi Wang Road to a point about 160 metres east of the same junction; and

• (b) the western kerbside lane of Hoi Ting Road from a point about 150 metres east of its northern junction with Hoi Wang Road to a point about 275 metres east of the same junction.

24 hours daily

• (a) the northern kerbside lane of Hoi Ting Road from a point about 160 metres east of its northern junction with Hoi Wang Road to a point about 200 metres east of the same junction.

     Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

• (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
• (b) loading or unloading goods.

     The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.

     At the same time, the existing restricted zones from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm (except general holidays) on the above road sections will be rescinded.
