Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations (Chapter 374)

 

Extension of Temporary Restricted Zones on Sha Tau Kok Road and Shun Lung Street, North District

 

In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 5.00 pm on 5 August 2015 to 5.00 pm on 5 November 2015, the following road sections will continue to be designated restricted zones 24 hours daily:

 

(i)       the southern kerbside lane of Sha Tau Kok Road from its junction with Shun Lung Street to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction;

(ii)      the southern kerbside lane of Sha Tau Kok Road from a point about 90 metres west of its junction with Shun Lung Street to a point about 180 metres west of the same junction;

(iii)     the eastern kerbside lane of Shun Lung Street from its southern junction with Shun Hing Street to its junction with Shun Ping Street ; and

(iv)     the eastern kerbside lane of Shun Lung Street from its junction with Shun Ping Street to a point about 70 metres north of the same junction.

 

Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:-

 

(a)      picking up or setting down passengers; or

(b)      loading or unloading goods.

 

The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate traffic signs and road markings.
